VPN OpenELEC Kodi Install Guide

VPN OpenELEC Kodi, I recommend using the VPN Manager for OpenVPN. You can see how to do that using this guide here.

To install the VPN OpenELEC Kodi, follow the guide below:

  • Open Kodi
  • Choose SYSTEM > File Manager
  • Choose Add Source
  • Choose None
  • Type the following EXACTLY http://fusion.tvaddons.ag and choose Done
  • Highlight the box underneath Enter a name for this media Source and type fusion
  • Choose Install from zip file AGAIN
  • Choose OK
  • Go back to your Home Screen
  • Choose System
  • Choose Addons
  • Choose Install from zip file
  • Choose fusion
  • Choose xbmc-repos
  • Choose English
  • Choose repository.metalkettle-x.x.x.zip
  • Wait for Addon enabled notification
  • Choose MetalKettles Addon Repository
  • Choose Program addons
  • Choose openvpn
  • Choose Install
  • Wait for Addon enabled notification
  • Choose VPN for OpenELEC
  • Choose Install
  • Wait for Addon enabled notification

The necessary addons are now installed and now the VPN OpenELEC Kodi addon needs to be configured.

  • Choose VPN for OpenELEC
  • Choose Launch
  • Choose Setup VPN
  • Choose your VPN Provider (image shows selecting IPVanish but it only works with PIA at the time of writing)
  • Choose Continue to move on to account details entry
  • Enter your VPN Username
  • Enter your VPN Password
  • Choose OK to complete the setup
  • Go back (click the 2 dots)
  • Choose Configure VPN
  • This screen will now list all the servers available to your account. Choose the one you wish to connect to.
  • The addon will now attempt to connect to that server.
  • When connected you will get a notification.

You can also now go back a screen and Choose Check My IP. When you do this a popup will appear telling you your IP address and where the location associated with that IP address.
